The 2019 Mazda3 is reportedly “all new,” and it will utilize multiple engine options at its launch; it’s speculated that it will add the innovative Skyactiv-X option later in the year, which drastically reduces the car’s emissions. What Is Gap Insurance?
Have you been shopping for new Mazda models and finally found the one of your dreams? Once you’ve signed on the dotted line, the next order of business is insurance.
Auto insurance has a lot of different layers and components, and honestly, it can be super confusing. What type do you need? How much coverage is necessary? How do you get it? We recommend reaching out to an insurance agent with questions. We also have another recommendation: consider gap insurance.
Gap insurance is a safeguard to protect you in case your car is involved in a total loss, be it a major wreck, theft, or just a freak accident. If you wreck your vehicle, your insurance company (or the company of the driver at fault) will give you a check for the total value of your vehicle. Nothing to worry about, right?
Wrong.
What happens if you owe more on your vehicle than it’s actually worth? For example, say you took advantage of an amazing Mazda lease special. A lease can be very beneficial in terms of low monthly payments and affordably getting into a new model. However, a leased vehicle also needs gap insurance. A leased vehicle will always be worth more than you are paying on it because you are making such low monthly payments. This also comes into play if you finance a new car with a low down payment or over an extended period of time.

Stay Safe and Sound in the 2018 Mazda CX-5
The 2018 Mazda CX-5 boasts an incredible array of standard and available safety features, bringing peace of mind to your experience behind the wheel.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert comes standard, giving you eyes in the back of your head. When you put your Mazda CX-5 in reverse, the system keeps an eye out for vehicles approaching from the side, providing you with an alert on the back-up monitor and side-view mirrors if it detects one. Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring works in a similar fashion when you’re in drive. If a car is cruising in your blind spot, the system will let you know. It also keeps an eye out for fast-approaching vehicles that will soon be in your blind spot.
Smart City Brake Support keeps a watchful eye on the road ahead when you’re traveling at slow speeds. If the system detects an imminent impact, it will adjust the brake pads closer to the disc to enable faster braking. If you’re unable to hit the brakes, the system can hit them for you. Smart Brake Support provides a similar functionality at speeds greater than 10 mph.
The Lane Departure Warning System provides reassurance on long highway drives. If you’re traveling at speeds of 37 mph or higher and the system detects that you’re unintentionally drifting out of your lane, it will trigger an alert to get your attention. If you don’t heed the warning, Lane-Keep Assist has got you covered. It can enact minor steering corrections in order to re-center your Mazda CX-5 in your current lane.
Edmunds has heaped plenty of praise on the 2018 Mazda CX-5, saying that “It has a refined and upscale nature, plenty of technology and safety features, and excellent utility.”

What Do You Do When Your Mazda Lease Is up?
