When talk of self-driving vehicles first emerged, people were skeptical. It sounded like a far-fetched idea limited to fantasy movies and superhero stories. However, as technology advanced, it was predicted we would see self-driving vehicles on the road by 2020. While those reports still don’t necessarily ring true, some of the technology needed for these vehicles can already be found in cars everywhere.

The new Mazda models are no exception. Features vary, depending on which vehicle you purchase and what options you elect to include. Be sure to ask our sales team about the specific systems you need. Options include, but are not limited to

Lane Keeping Assist – Gently steers you back into your lane if you’ve begun to drift out of it

Automatic Parallel Parking – Automatically steers your vehicle into a parking space, but does not brake or automatically shift gears for you

Drowsiness Alert – Signals you with a coffee cup light on your dashboard that you may be driving drowsily or distractedly and need to take a break

Adaptive Cruise Control – Automatically keeps your vehicle within a safe distance of the car in front of you, including slowing down, speeding up, and braking, in some instances

Forward Collision Warning – Alerts you when you are getting too close to an object or vehicle ahead to help avoid a collision

Visit our Mazda dealership near Woodbridge, NJ at 90-100 US Highway 1 North for a test drive to experience these cutting-edge systems in person. After all, the best way to check out all of this new technology is to try it for yourself. We’re open Monday through Friday from 9a-9p and until 7p on Saturdays. We’re closed on Sundays.
