2020 Mazda CX-5

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 is an impressive compact SUV that appeals to city drivers, families, and adventurers. It has a sleek exterior style, a comfortable interior, and plenty of space for passengers or cargo. At Sansone Mazda in Avenel, NJ, we have this model available now among other new Mazda cars, like the Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda3.

While other models like the Toyota RAV4 have comparable features and specs, the 2020 Mazda CX-5 breaks through the competition in a few important ways. Here’s what you need to know about the Mazda CX-5 vs. Toyota RAV4.

Performance Specs

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 comes in five trims, three of which have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 187 horsepower with front-wheel drive, while the top two trims have the turbocharged 2.5-liter that puts out either 227 or 250 horsepower, alongside all-wheel drive. The transmission on all engines is a six-speed automatic.

The Toyota RAV4, on the other hand, has one engine across the board, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that puts out 203 horsepower, so you don’t have that turbocharged option with more horsepower as with the Mazda CX-5.

Safety features

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 now includes the i-Activsense® system, which has advanced safety features like pre-crash safety technology that help prevent accidents reduce risk. The car also has blind-spot monitoring and a lane departure warning system.

The Toyota RAV4 has similar safety features with the Safety Sense™ system, but the blind-spot monitor isn’t standard on the base-level of the model.

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 stands out with its easy driving, better handling, and superior interior features. Visit our Mazda dealers at Sansone Mazda to start test driving or to view other new Mazda cars.
