The spring season has arrived with warm weather and rain. This also means it’s time to visit our Mazda service center! Servicing your vehicle will ensure your car is safe on the road. Here are some tasks to get your vehicle ready for spring.

1.      Inspect the Cooling System

The cooling system is an essential component of your vehicle because it maintains the temperature of the engine to help keep it performing efficiently. A nonfunctioning cooling system will cause the engine to overheat, resulting in extensive engine damage. Our technicians will:

  • Check pressure conditions and coolant volume
  • Check for leaks, cracks, and worn elements
  • Inspect the radiator, water pump, thermostat, heater, control valve, head gasket, and other sections

2.      Check the Tires

The rough winter weather can wear down your tires, and cold, freezing temperatures may cause the tire pressure to drop. If your car has all-season tires, an inspection will be necessary to ensure the tires are in good condition. If your car is equipped with winter tires, it’s time to swap them with summer tires.

3.      Battery Inspection

Cold weather can put extra strain on your battery and cause premature wear, so bring your car to Sansone Mazda so we can check the battery with a visual inspection and a performance test.

4.      Check the Windshield Wipers

Cold weather can cause the rubber on your wipers to become brittle and crack, so our technicians can inspect your wiper blades to ensure they are in good condition, replacing them if needed.

5.      Check The Fluids

Car fluids keep various components of your vehicle running efficiently. It is crucial to have them changed regularly. We can check and refill your:

  • Engine oil
  • Engine coolant
  • Transmission fluid
  • Brake fluid
  • Power steering fluid
  • Windshield wiper fluid
